Colorful painting by Pol Ledent
Born on the 23rd of October, 1952, Belgian self-taught artist Pol Ledent started painting rather late, at the age of 43. In fact, he took some drawing lessons in the art Academy in Dinant. Meanwhile, he paints the landscapes of the countryside where he is living – the southern part of Belgium. According to the artist, what people like most in his paintings are the colors. His art doesn’t speak to the intellect but to the soul and to the feelings. “Talink the risk to seem old fashioned, I would say it is rather romantic”, says the artist.
