Two beautiful daughters Mariya and Yekaterina Putina. Mariya Putina was born 28 April 1985 in Leningrad, Soviet Union, and Yekaterina Putina was born 31 August 1986 in Dresden, East Germany. They grew up in East Germany and attended the German School in Moscow until their father’s appointment as Prime Minister. The, they studied international economics at the Finance Academy in Moscow, although it was not officially reported, due to security reasons.
Vladimir was the third and the youngest son in a family – unfortunately, his two older brothers, who were born in the thirties, died in childhood. In 2012, it became known that one of the brothers, Victor, was born in 1940 and died in 1942 of diphtheria. He was buried at the Piskarevskoe cemetery. And the second brother, named Alex (Albert), died before the war.

Russian president and his wife announced – their marriage has been over. This was after they had visited the “Esmeralda” at the State Kremlin Palace (update – June 7, 2013)
On Thursday, on nationwide television, Vladimir Putin and Lyudmila announced about their divorce. Thus, they have ended years of media speculation about the couple’s relationship. The announcement followed the Putins’ joint outing to a ballet performance – and it was the first time they had been seen in public since the president’s inauguration in May 2012.
