Giant Fish Sculptures in Rio de Janeiro
Giant Fish Sculptures in Rio de Janeiro
We usually throw empty plastic bottles, without even thinking what a huge harm they do to the environment. In fact, each plastic bottle decomposes for 100-200 years and requires serious funds for their processing. But you can make your own contribution and just make a beautiful sculpture out of an unnecessary bottle, for example.
This installation of giant fish sculptures made from discarded plastic bottles appeared at Botafogo beach in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, on June 19, 2012. The city is host to the UN Conference on Sustainable Development. In order to draw attention to environmental problems, designers installed on the beach sculptures of large fish. Meanwhile, simple plastic bottles served as a material. And for the best look, they used illumination of multi-colored spotlights. As a result, the installation of plastic bottles turned out very nicely!
