Incredibly realistic glass jewelry by Elizabeth Johnson
Talented British artist Elizabeth Johnson has created an exquisite jewelry decorations. According to her, she developed a love and appreciation for the beauty of flowers, leaves, berries and seeds since her childhood. She has been working with glass since around 1990, when her husband noticed how much she loved glass and encouraged her to try it as an art medium. She began with stained glass windows. In 1998 she set up a flame-working studio at home. Her current work focuses on lifelike fruits and berries. After many attempts she managed to make the first glass raspberry that looked fairly realistic. Since those first glass raspberries, she has taught herself to make many other berry varieties and has developed them into a line of jewelry. The jewelry and the glass berry sculptures are sold in galleries around the country, and have found homes with other berry lovers as far away as Moscow and South Africa.
