Paintings by Khalim Amirov
Russian artist Khalim Amirov was born in Miass of Chelyabinsk region, Russia on 27 April 1970. After graduating from the Art School, he entered the graphic arts department of Moscow State Pedagogical Institute in Magnitogorsk. In 2001, after several trips to the northern capital, he moved to St. Petersburg. Painting lessons occupied a large part of his time during this period. And in 2003, Khalim worked for a private gallery in Salt Lake City, Utah, USA. At the same time, continued education at the Faculty of Fine Arts at Herzen State Pedagogical University in St. Petersburg, and in 2005 he defended a thesis on sculpture. For a long time Amirov was engaged in miniature sculpture. Today the artist lives and works in Miass. Full member of the Union of Free Artists of St. Petersburg.
According to Amirov, his work does not relate to any genre, because he is experimenting with different styles and directions. In particular, he easily paints a portrait from life or photo, emphasizing the bright facial features and skillfully concealing defects. Besides, he draws caricatures and cartoons, stressing the individuality of every person. Drawing, painting, decorative painting, sculpture, body art – everything is subject to a skillful painter.
