Moonlight sonata in Igor Medvedev’s paintings
Russian painter and art teacher Igor Medvedev was born in Novopskov, Ukraine. He graduated from the Faculty of Physical Chemistry, Moscow Institute of Electronic Technology. And after graduation worked as an engineer. However, the love for art led him to the Department of History of Art at the University of Arts. After graduation, he taught fine arts in secondary specialized school. According to the artist, he began painting seriously in 1985. The first solo exhibition of paintings of Igor Medvedev took place in November 1990 in Vilnius Youth Drama Theater. Since then, Igor devoted himself entirely to painting. His work is on permanent display at galleries “China Town” and “Flute” in Moscow and in private collections in Russia and abroad
