Mark Jenkins street installations
American artist Mark Jenkins creates and sets curious characters – homeless, kids, suicidal girls, vagrants, giraffes, etc.. He places them in very unexpected positions and places, and sometimes they even frighten passersby. Meanwhile, these weird sculptures “travel” around the world. In particular, in 2009 Jenkins visited Russia with lectures, master classes and installations. Disturbing, humorous, and enigmatic in equal measures, Jenkins enlists his hyper-realistic sculptures into the service of, for example, Greenpeace. As well as for exhibitions, performances, art galleries, and workshops.
