Traditionally, crafts is possible to design out of different types of materials. For instance, it can be decorative paper, plastic, wood, etc. Talented craftsman living in Seattle, USA, Taras Lesko, born in 1982, makes incredibly realistic sculptures from paper. In particular, beginning from various automobile models to self sculpture, exact paper copy of himself. According to Taras Lesko, his mission statement – Live a positive, open-minded life, driven by empowering knowledge, encouraging relationships and extreme creativity. “Whatever my hand finds to do, I work at it with all my heart, as working for the Lord, Jesus Christ…” (Colossians 3:23-24).
“My entire life I always enjoyed building things with my hands. When I was much younger I tried to build everything possible with my basic Lego sets. And when I started working professionally as a designer, all my creative time became completely confined to the computer. I desperately needed a new hands-on creative outlet. In 2008 I accidentally came across paper crafting and became completely hooked since. Paper craft making allows me to express myself creatively through computer-aided design and hands-on construction combined. Best of all, paper is inexpensive, light weight and requires minimal storage space. With this versatile material, the possibilities are endless”.
