Russian artist Tatyana Abramova is originally from Kazan, but currently lives in Moscow. She graduated from art school, then the Architectural Construction University with a degree in architect-designer. At first, she worked on a specialty, trying to combine work with painting and drawing. However, since 2013 she chose to be a freelance artist. Here’s a set of her watercolor paintings, which include portraits of famous people – Bjork, Marilyn Monroe, Salvador Dali, Frida Kahlo, Madonna, Elvis Presley, Yuri Gagarin, and Angelina Jolie. The artist’s statement: “Hot red blood intoxicates, creates images and ideas, and sometimes brings to madness. But blue blood is excerpt, calculation, and skill that makes the artist critically look at his creation. Perhaps, remove the excess and add necessary. So, blue blood – is what gives the artist control over the viewer or reader”.
Tatyana Abramova had exhibitions in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Novokuznetsk, and Germany. Artworks by Tatyana Abramova are in private collections in Russia and abroad.
