Wool painting by Lyubov Khitkova
Born in the old city of Rybinsk, Lyubov Khitkova is a talented Russian artist of applied art. She graduated from Graphic Department of the Vladimir State Pedagogical Institute. According to Khitkova, she worked with tapestry, batik, and Vladimir sewing. Also, in the gallery of the artistart are paintings, illustrations, and watercolors. After the Institute she taught fine art and sketching. Since 2005 she has worked and exhibited in the artist’s technique of wool paintings, mosaic of wool, which she calls “thread-point”. Lyubov Khitkova’s artworks are in private collections in Russia, Europe, Middle East, and Australia.
