Created for Hamburg, Germany based company WMF Knives, these ads posters are awesome. Fruit and vegetable carving art required skill and a lot of patience. I admire artists who are able to create such beauty, just carving ordinary vegetables and fruits. Fruit carving by Tamas Balla, a talented Hungarian photographer who carves faces into fruits and vegetables are a real piece of art.
However, when I found these sculptures I became suspicious about whether the carvings are really from the veggie or fruit, or something else. Finally, I’ve found out that these beautiful images are creations of Advertising Agency KNSK. They advertize WMF (Knifes) – under the motto ‘For Those Who Value Precision’. Creative Director of these posters Tim Krinkthey, Art Director Thomas Thiele. Basically, it means the posters are Photoshopped.
