British self-taught artist Nick Ainley studied physics in college, but didn’t succeed in science. This is probably for the better, otherwise we would never see his digital paintings. An attention to detail impressive illustrations were mostly drawn to the order for advertising, but are completely separate works in themselves, not tied to a particular campaign. Ainley is currently living in New York. He has been producing personal and commissioned illustrations for a wide array of clients for over ten years.

Nik is constantly trying to expand his range of abilities and is happiest when learning new software or techniques. He works in both 2D and 3D software to produce his images and especially enjoys the results combining the two can achieve.
