Talented artist Denis Chernov (born 1978) lives and works in Kharkov after graduating from Kharkov State Academy of Design and Arts in 2004. Most of Chernov’s artworks decorate private collections in Ukraine, Russia, Italy, England, Spain, Greece, France, USA, Canada, and Japan. In addition, some works even sold at the famous auction Christie’s.
In fact, Denis works in a wide range of graphic and painting techniques. However, his favorite techinque is pencil drawing, which covers landscape, portrait, nude, genre compositions, book illustration, literary and historic reconstructions and fantasy. Noteworthy, Chernov received the medal from the “Peacemaker” Worldwide Alliance. In his picture of the world, a smallest object is an integral part of the omnipresent Macrocosm. Besides, according to the artist, two words describe his creativity – Infinity and Harmony. As far as his approach to what an object of art constitutes, he himself explains, “We tend to perceive the beautiful as granted. We have become too much accustomed to the beautiful forms that surround us in our everyday life. Accustomed so much that if they were to vanish someday we ourselves would die the same very day”.
