Rare Black Tiger cub at Hangzhou Zoo
A Rare Black Tiger cub appeared in Hangzhou Zoo, Zhejiang province, east China. The tiger cub was born without traditional stripes. His color is completely black and it attracts the attention. The tiger is very unusual, although in his behavior there is absolutely no difference from his brothers and sisters. The tiger is very playful and feels fine, no wonder people pay so much attention to him, but he does not mind at all. As scientists say, such an unusual color may be due to pseudo-melanism, i.e. strips widened to such an extent that merge with each other.
This phenomenon is often observed among the forest cats, which begin to be painted in a solid color, because it is less visible in the dense forest. Tigers prefer open spaces, so this fact has not been noticed among them. Also, there is speculation that the mutation occurred due to the fact that the parents of the cub came from the same population. Currently the ultra-rare tiger cub is living in the home of one of the employees of the zoo. Apparently, there are some concerns about the fact that adult tigers can aggressively treat their cub because of his unusual coloring. The cute black tiger cub is fed by an ordinary dog.
