American artist from Oregon Kerri Pajutee has been creating miniature sculptures of animals for over thirty years. According to Pajutee, animals is her favorite theme, as she is fond of them. Her original handmade museum-quality miniatures – made in the traditional dollhouse style. Creating her one-of-a-kind work she uses various materials. In particular, polymer clay, alpaca, cashmere, wool, mohair, silk, feathers, and more. A member of International guild of miniature artisans, she got a status in category of animal figures in 2001. The work of Kerri Pajutee is internationally famous among miniature enthusiasts. Besides, her animal sculptures appeared in magazines, exhibited in galleries, special museums and stored in private collections worldwide.
A Fellow of the International guild of miniature artisans (IGMA), small scale animal sculpture first attracted her attention in 1987. Working primarily with polymer clay over wire armatures, Kerri Pajutee sculpts each original by hand. Next, she applies flocking of alpaca, mohair, silk and wool as well as natural feathers, to create authentically scaled coats and plumage.
