Surreal paintings by Matthew Davis
Surreal paintings by Matthew Davis
First of all, the paintings are surreal in techique, and this is unusual.
Born in 1969 in Colchester, the United Kingdom, Matthew Davis is a talented British artist based in Berlin. Matthew Davis creates pictures of the points, dots and spots, thus his art belongs to pointillism. In particular, Matthew creates these surreal images by using his brush to slowly drip oil paints into small pools. After each color dries over a period of several days, he adds a new layer. And as a result, he achieves a dense, multi-dimensional surface.
According to his biography, Davis graduated from Camberwell College of Arts, and before that – the school of Arts and Design MA Norwich School. However, parents of Matthew Davis wanted to see him a banker, but, according to the artist, he felt a far greater love for the beautiful pictures.
Loved and recognized by his amazing paintings, executed in an unusual technique, the artist managed to add something new. He had several personal exhibitions in Great Britain, Germany, Austria.
