Time-travel feeling Nostalgia
Milan Kundera, Czech Republic’s writer wrote: “The Greek word for “return” is nostos. Algos means “suffering.” So, nostalgia is the suffering caused by a yearning to return.” In fact, there is hardly a person who didn’t have such strong and sad time-travel feeling as nostalgia. And it may be either the memories of childhood, or the place where you lived. Also, events and people that you valued and they are no longer here with you. Or it could be the relationship and the love that you lost. In addition, the fallen autumn leaf, familiar smell, touch, melody can also evoke nostalgic memories. Perhaps, that noble feeling of nostalgia makes us human.

“Remembrance restores possibility to the past, making what happened incomplete and completing what never was. Remembrance is neither what happened nor what did not happen but, rather, their potentialization, their becoming possible once again.” ― Giorgio Agamben, Potentialities: Collected Essays in Philosophy
“Nostalgia is a necessary thing, I believe, and a way for all of us to find peace in that which we have accomplished, or even failed to accomplish. At the same time, if nostalgia precipitates actions to return to that fabled, rosy-painted time, particularly in one who believes his life to be a failure, then it is an empty thing, doomed to produce nothing but frustration and an even greater sense of failure.”
