Yevgeniya Kanayeva rhythmic gymnastics star. Russian rhythmic gymnast Yevgeniya (Evgeniya) Kanayeva was born on April 2, 1990 in the Siberian city of Omsk. Her mother, Svetlana, was also a rhythmic gymnast, Master of Sports. Her father, Oleg Kanaev, was a coach and a former Greco-Roman wrestler. Evgeniya Kanayeva is the only rhythmic gymnast to win two Olympic all-around gold medals, winning at the 2008 and 2012 Olympics. Evgeniya Kanayeva repeated the feat at the 2011 World Championship in Montpelier, France, winning all six gold medals. At the 2012 Olympics, Kanayeva ranked 2nd on the first day, behind teammate Daria Dmitrieva, after an unusual errant of fumbling her hoop routine. On the second day, she moved ahead of Dmitrieva with a total score of 116.000 points.

On 8 June 2013, Kanaeva married ice hockey player Igor Musatov who plays from UFA Club Salavat Yulaev of the Continental Hockey League (KHL). Their honeymoon Olympic champion Evgeniya Kanayeva and her husband Igor Musatov, hockey player spent on a yacht by Irina Viner and Alisher Usmanov. In August, Irina Viner announced Kanaeva is pregnant.

In 8 October 2013, Kanaeva’s father Oleg died of a heart attack on the plane during the flight from Turkey to Moscow, returning from the World Cup Championships of Greco-Roman wrestling.

Igor and Evgeniya met about two and a half years ago. Kanaeva injured her leg and she needed the help of a doctor. Musatov also had a trauma, he was visiting a doctor. Igor fell in love with her at first sight. Their wedding ceremony took place in Moscow, on June 8, 2013. There were 160 invited people, among them special guests, such as national head coach Irina Viner, the Witness of the groom was a famous hockey player Alexei Morozov. A wedding ceremony was conducted by TV presenters Anton Komolov and Olga Shelest. Igor said it was the happiest day of his life.
