Fantastic bead sculptures by Betsy Youngquist
American artist jeweler Betsy Youngquist creates fabulous jewelry sculptures covered with mosaic of bead. Betsy Youngquist was born in Rockford, Illinois, United States, in 1965. She received first Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Chicago in 1987, and later a master’s degree of Arts from the University of Madison in 1992. Betsy uses faces, arms and legs of antique porcelain dolls. All the sculptures are extremely unusual, Betsy, thanks to her belief that sometimes inside of us wakes up the spirit of the animal. Mixed media bead-work by Betsy Youngquist reflects a fascination with the intersection of humans, animals, and mythology.
