The Cheese Lady Sarah Kaufmann
Well known as “The Cheese Lady”, American artist Sarah Kaufmann has created a series of sculptures and food installations. Professional food artist, Sarah received a degree in Commercial Art in Madison, WI and worked for the Wisconsin dairy industry for 16 years. And while working as creative director for the Wisconsin Milk Marketing Board, appeared a great interest in cheese carving. In addition, her first sculptures were used in trade and consumer promotions and enjoyed success. Accordingly, this encouraged her to continue working in this direction. Since 1996, “The Cheese Lady” has received hundreds of commissions for her cheese creations. Then followed countless media impressions in print, radio, television newscasts, talk shows, food shows and sportscasts. Kaufmann creates the jaw-dropping sculptures in her Cincinnati and San Diego studios.
