American artist of Polish origin Charles Wysocki was born in 1928 in Detroit, Michigan, USA. Charles Wysocki together with his wife often traveled to New England, in the process of travel he tried to find information about the origins of American folk art. Christmas images, depicting enjoyable season of winter by the folk artist Charles Wysocki are absolutely charming, as captured with a child’s eyes. No one created a warmer winter scene than Charles Wysocki. Charles Wysocki died in 2002 in California, USA. Before his death in July of 2002, Charles made fourteen special paintings, printing and signing each print. Then he sealed each of these fourteen editions and put them in safekeeping to be released after his death. These 14 paintings are:

“Skating on the canal,” Charles recalled, “became a party from early morning until nightfall. People sang, played instruments, built fires, sold goodies and were obviously having a good time.” It was the perfect place to pass happy hours on a cold winter’s day.
